The Herculaneum Ruins, a sight absolutely unique and almost the only one of its kind in the world, have given birth to the rests of the ancient city that together with Pompeii was buried by the eruption of the Vesuvius in 79 A.D..

From July till October 2014 the appointments by night with the two more important Campania archaeological sites recur again.
The Pompeii and Herculaneum Excavations, every Friday, will welcome in an involving atmosphere the visitors.
The evening runs, planned with the Government Department Responsible for the Archaeological Buildings of Pompeii, Herculaneum and Stabia, will illustrate since the lights of the sunset the life and the death in the archaeological Vesuvius sites.

"Herculaneum, buried histories" will propose to the visitors a combination among virtual reality, theater performances and guided tours inside the precious archaeological area.
Exciting the visit to the furnaces with the accompaniment of the theater performance by the group Le Nuvole and with the vision of the fugitives casts.
Herculaneum can be visited just with reservation (calling from 10.00 a.m. till 3.00 p.m. at the number 0818575347) for three groups of at most 25 visitors with entry at 8.15 p.m., at 8.35 p.m. and at 8.50 p.m.. The cost of the ticket is EUR 5,50 (free for the younger than 18 years old upon exhibition of a valid document of identity at the box-office). Entrance exclusively through Papiri Ercolanesi Street.

To the Pompeii Ruins the visit starts from Porta Marina and it continues with the visit to the Suburban Thermal baths and with a run following the external path of the area and finishing at the Auditorium of Esedra Square with a screening recalling the most important moments of the eruption.
The visit to Pompeii is possible just with reservation (calling from 10.00 a.m. till 3.00 p.m. to the number 0818575347) for four groups of at most 30 visitors with entrance at 8.00 p.m., at 8.20 p.m., at 8.40 p.m. and at 9.00 p.m..
The ticket costs EUR 5.50 (free for younger than 18 years old upon exhibition of a valid document of identity at the box-office).
The entrance is from Porta Marina Superiore, in Villa dei Misteri Street 2.
