The invisible Pompeii
Exhibition The Invisible Pompeii in Sorrento
From August 24th 2014 till January 6th 2015, the St. Francis Cloister in Sorrrento helds the tactile show "The Invisible Pompeii".On display fifty and more archaeological finds, among frescos, mosaics and building paintings of the ancient Vesuvius City buried by the eruption of the 79 b.C.. The works are faithfully reproduced with an exclusive procedure able to mix technological innovation and tradition.
It will be possible to admire and to touch exclusive archaeological finds usually prohibited to the public during the visit to the Archaeological Excavations either because they are in inaccessible Domus or because guarded in the vault of the Archaeological Museum in Naples.
There is also a special section on the Pompeii eroticism, forbidden to the younger than 16 years old.
The show is open every day from 10 a.m. till 10 p.m., with a ticket of EUR 6 for the adults and EUR 5 for children younger than 10 years old and for groups of at least 25 people.
