Sorrento, Moscow and St. Petersburg are celebrating their centuries-old connection with an interesting appointment.

For a whole month , from 28th September to 27th October 2013, Sorrento will host the event "Maximum Gorkij in the russian cultural route in the context of European cultural itineraries 2013", an initiative that will develop in three main stages.

Saturday, September 28th to 17th will be inaugurated at the Correale Museum , the exhibition of watercolors dedicated to " Maximum Gorky in the illustrations of Russian artists " thanks to Straganoff Academy in Moscow that will remain on display for almost everything. Twenty-four works by Boris Dehterev , Sergei Gonkov , Bill Alexander , the great masters and their students Valerie Chemnitz, Olga and Jana Zheltkova Gorshkov.

Sunday at 18.45 in the council chamber of the town of Sorrento, there will be a concert by the mezzo-soprano Juliana Razumnaia from Moscow, accompanied by Paul Scibilia, will play Russian composers: Glinka Tchaikovsky , Rachmaninoff, Rimsky -Korsakov .

Monday, 7th October, always at the Museo Correale di Terranova, from 10th to 13rd, will be held a creative workshop on the tales of Italy : "Maxim Gorky , Italy and the Italians" by Elena Agafonova (Russia, Nizhny Novgorod  . "The image of the South in the views of the Russian painters in Capri" by Lucia Tonini (Florence) and "Maxim Gorki'j and Russian artists in Italy " by Cyril Gavrilin (Russia, Moscow). The concept of " cultural itinerary Maximum Gorky , Russian cultural itineraries in the context of European Cultural Routes " by Irina Markina and Vera Volnova (Russia, Moscow).
